Getting ready to head out next week

For anyone still out there waiting for a post we are getting ready to take off next week.  We will stop at one of my favorite campgrounds as a kid and that is General Butler State Park in Kentucky.  General Butler is just across the Ohio River at Madison, Indiana and is near Carollton, Kentucky.  We spent a week at this park three years ago in the snow in January.  I will have the back of the car full of fire wood so we can have camp fires at night since it will probably be fairly cold then.

After Carollton we are thinking of heading down to Pigeon Forge TN to hit the Smokey Mountain National Park again.  We actually stay in Pigeon Forge since we probably couldn't fit in the National Park and we want all of the hook ups anyway.

On the night of November 12th we will be staying at Camp Freightliner in Gaffney South Carolina in order to get the motorhome serviced on the 13th.  After our service appointment I think we are headed down to Alabama to meet up with Mike and Eileen friends from last year and then on to Florida to see Wally and Joann some other friends we met two years ago.  On December 1st we will arrive at Fort Myers Beach where we will stay until the end of March.  I noticed that the temperatures have been in the mid 80's every day this week.

We had the motorhome up to Newmar where we left if for a week so they could go over the issues we had.  They went beyond the call of duty in making the repairs.  We were very impressed with the way we were treated and the manner in which the repairs were made.  The motorhome is better than new at the present time.  We will see how long it stays that way.

Bye for now.  I will try to start posting next week once we start traveling again.  I would like to go back to Bushes Baked Beans which is out in the middle of nowhere in Tennessee and this time I will get a picture of Duke the dog and mascot of Bushes.
