Heading North at the end of next week

Well, it's that time of the year again.  We are heading north next Friday.  We have been looking for a house in the Great Outdoors Resort but have not found one we like.  We have probably looked at eight or so but nothing we liked.  We hope to come back next year and find one.  I think we are going to up our budget to make sure we get what we want which is two master suites and two baths and a great room and kitchen with a nice screened porch and an rv port for a 43 foot motorhome.  Next year we have negotiated a deal for the lot next to where we are this year for six months for the motor home starting November 1st through the end of April.

We leave Friday and are heading to Savannah, Ga.  then on to Myrtle Beach on the ocean for a week and then on to Piedmont, NC to see Gabe.  Gabe and I are going to the drag races in Charlotte, NC which will be fun.  Last year Huli and I did a tour of the Charlotte Motor Speedway including a couple of laps around the track which was a really good time.  Can't wait to see the four up drag races.  After seeing Gabe we plan on coming home unless it's still snowing in Indiana.  If that happens then we will probably hang out in Tennessee for another week or so.  We love the Smokies.  In fact, the Smokies, Cades Cove, is one of four places we want our ashes distributed when we are no longer here.  We have people in Indiana mowing the grass or shoveling the snow, which ever the case may be, so I guess we don't have to be in any big hurry to get home.  I have been golfing about four times a week so I will miss that for the few weeks it may take us to get home.  I may play in Myrtle Beach but being a single makes it a little harder to play.  I am currently an 11 handicap and usually shoot in the high 70's or 80's and would like to keep playing on a regular basis. I have played more golf during the last few months than I have ever played in my life.  I have also played with some very good golfers that have been willing to help me with my game.  In fact,  I play with a guy who is 71 years old who shoots his age probably every week.  This guy has worked in golf for many years and works at his game much more than I do.  He has won tournaments in many parts of the country and has worked at golf courses all over the country including Indiana.
