Trip to the Gulf pier and the beach

Today after our morning walk we drove down to the pier at the Gulf.  It was warmer today with temperatures getting up to the mid 70's in the afternoon.  On the pier there were a lot of people fishing pulling there little carts with coolers, tackle boxes and extra fishing poles.  We saw a couple of people pull in some small fish but none with any size.  A man told me he caught a 11 3/4 pound flounder this morning but had to throw it back since 12 pounds is the minimum keeper weight for flounders.  After leaving the pier we drove west on Ft Morgan road to Mobile St. to go out to the beach away from Gulf Shores.  We were told this area had some really nice sea shells but we didn't find any worth keeping.  After walking the beach for an hour or so we thought it only fitting to have seafood for lunch.  We stopped at King Neptune's Seafood Restaurant where we had baked oysters with Parmesan and garlic and an order of mushrooms.  The oysters were awesome.  We then returned to the 5th wheel where I am going to watch several hours of football and Huli is just going to chill.

Last night we played a board game with three other couples in the park all of which full time in their rv's.  Two have 5th wheels about the same size as ours or maybe slightly smaller while our neighbors Bob and Gayle have an older model Wander Lodge motor home.  This motor home is no longer being made but is a very well made heavy all steel frame unit weighing close to 50,000 lbs. Well that's about it for today I see where the number one team in the nation, Alabama, just went down 20 to 0 to Texas A&M in the first quarter just while I have been writing this.  If this doesn't change there will be bunches of upset people around here.  Enjoy the pictures.
