You know your retired and have too much time on your hands when your willing to spend much of the day driving around the state of Georgia to see where the show Honey Boo Boo is filmed. We started watching the show last year after more than one person we know started using some of June's phrases like beautimus and redneckognize. We didn't know what they were talking about so we started to watch the show to find out. In fact, we nick named our son Jason's lady friend Chelsea Chelsonator the Beautimus after watching one episode of the show. You watch the show for the shock value more than anything else because you never know what they will say or do next. Today the people we spoke to who are on the show were genuinely very nice nice and Alana who the show is named after was especially nice and very well mannered. We believed the Hispanic gentleman in the pictures may have been there body guard. While it was cloudy most of the day here we didn't run into rain until we started our trip home. We stopped in Macon at a BBQ restaurant and I told Janet to slap me the next time I suggest we stop for BBQ. I think it would have been good if I would have stuck to the slab of ribs I wanted but the waitress talked us both into the most popular item on the menu which was a barbecue sandwich. It was the driest sandwich but it did have a lot of meat on it. Putting more sauce on it didn't make it much better though.

This is one third of the town of McIntyre, Georgia. I think there may have been two other gas stations neither of which was near as big as this one. They didn't sell diesel fuel either.
