Sanibel and Captiva Island

Today being Sunday,  we weren't in any big hurry to get going.  We had breakfast and kind of chilled watching some of the Sunday news programs on tv before Janet's washer got another A10 error code meaning it wasn't draining properly.  This has been happening for a week or so and even though she reluctantly changed to the new he Tide (High Efficiency) which her washer recommends. So we unscrewed the retaining board and moved washing machine out of the cabinet and removed the back and the drain input to the pump from the washing machine tub.  The first thing I uncovered was a penny which may hamper the pump from working efficiently.  I thought well while I have the hose off I will try to feel into the pump and the impeller to see if I can feel anything else.  I felt something that I was sure wasn't suppose to be there.  We got some needle nose pliers and got a hold of a dryer sheet and some other foreign objects.  Put the thing back together and what do you know it works like a dream with no error messages.

After putting the washer back in the cabinet we headed out to Sanibel and Captiva Islands.  These are only about four miles or so from our rv park and it was a very nice day spent in a very beautiful setting.  We kind of feel bad being down here where it's 80 plus degrees when much of the north is having snow storms.  But we got over it.  Here are some pictures of our day.

Tonight Huli and Sydney went for a walk without Tanner and me since we can't keep up.  I told her she needs to do this for her sake and for Sydney's and Tanner and I will be ok.

This is the light house on the southern most point of Sanibel Island.

No shortage of shells on Sanibel Island

We stopped at Doc Fords at Sanibel for a couple of beers and calamari for lunch.

These three helicopters flew over.  I guess they were looking for people who had gone into the ocean too far.  There is Huli showing off her big boobie.

We found the only Mexican restaurant on Captiva Island.  I had a couple of Corona's and Huli had a couple of Margarita's in keeping with the Mexican theme.  Her second Margarita was on the house.  I ask her what she did to get the free Margarita and she said I flashed my boobs.  I asked why she didn't flash 'em so I could get my second beer for free?

I have said before if I had a dollar for every bar I have been in that has dollar bills on the walls or ceiling I would have enough to wall paper my garage.  I think I could start on my house now.

This is what two Margaritas will do to you.

It just doesn't get any better than this.  I love to watch the sun set even though it does this every single day.

This reminds me of our time at Key West two years ago and I have been looking up reservations at Key West which are very reasonable compared to when we went there before but I need to wait until I see the doctor on January 6th.   I would really like to get back to Key West this winter.
