HAPPY EASTER TO ALL....

Hope your Easter is blessed and spent enjoying the beauty of the day.

We've been so busy goofing off by the time we settle down for the evening Jack nor I have the energy to do anything but veg out in front of the TV.  Aren't TV's great?  We can't get cable or satellite here so we have been reduced to watching what our antenna can pick up.  Did you know that people are wallpapering their ceilings now?  Go figure.  And had we gotten cable or satellite I would have gone to my grave not knowing this valuable piece of information.  We do pick up NBC, I think.  Or maybe CBS.

Had dinner last night with Carol and Lori.  We didn't get to see them near as much as I would have liked but it's quality not quantity.  We had a wonderful time the few times we were able to spend with them.  Friday night they came out to our camp site (yes, big enough to entertain people) and Jack grilled burgers and hot dogs for us.  That was the first camp fire we've had since we left in January.   Everyone toasted marshmallows and seemed to enjoy that "camp fire ritual".  Very nice evening.

Today we plan on going back to the beach.  It has been really cool the last couple of days here but today the temperature is on the way up.   Neither of us can resist those waves so we're packing a lunch and heading out.  Jack is walking the dogs as I write this.  I am still in my nightgown.  It's 11:30.  Ahhh...retirement.

Tomorrow we head out to Georgia and the state park of no return.  Jack told me about a video he watched on You Tube about the park but advised me not to watch it.  He knows how I freak out.  And as my sister, Brenda,  has always said about me; I react first and think later.  Jack and Brenda both know how I am about life and Jack knows that if I see the video I'll be freaked out and form a horrible opinion before I even get to the park.  The video is about an alligator feeding frenzy that was posted on You Tube from Stephen C Foster state park in Georgia.  They must have lots and lots of alligators in this swamp.

I got up this morning and my first stop is always the freezer to get ice.  On our fridge we have a small board where we write messages and the proverbial grocery list.  There are two messages that have been on the board (from each other to the other) from our maiden voyage in the RV 3 years ago.  Anyhow....Laser surgery is great.  I would highly recommend it for anyone who can't see far away.  However in the process you lose your ability to read without reading glasses, which to me was a good trade. I could tell that Jack had written a new message on the board.  I grabbed my reading glasses......here is what he wrote:

"Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry and narrow mindedness."

Have a great Easter holiday. Janet
