Our Last Day at Jacksonville, Florida

After getting up and taking the dogs for their morning walk we started getting some things put away in preparation for our departure tomorrow.  We loaded the motorcycle and the bicycles on the trailer and discovered I had a flat on my rear bicycle tire.  We went in for some groceries since we will be 18 miles from the nearest town when we are at the Stephen C Foster state park the next three days.  I fixed the flat on my bike while Hulio was getting our lunch/supper ready to take to the beach.  We spent about three hours playing in the waves, hunting for shells, and just sitting watching the waves and clouds go by at the beach.   We still have a few things to do tomorrow but this shouldn't be an issue since we only have about a 2.5 hour drive ahead of us.  We're ready to see some Okefenokee swamp gators.

Below are some pictures taken during the day today.

Unfortunately today while we were at the beach another swimmer said they saw a body while in the ocean.  The search for the body included a helicopter, many rescue swimmers, jet skis etc. but to our knowledge no body was recovered and we were one of the last ones to leave the beach at a little after 7 pm.

Apparently the beach was very relaxing
