Day 2-Montgomery Bell State Park Cont'd

This is a beautiful, beautiful park. Nice level sites offering full hook ups and surrounded by the naked winter trees with nothing but white snow covering the hills around us. We did a lot of walking today as it has warmed up, especially with the sun out and shining brightly. We actually had to take our hats off as it did get a little warm.

We were going to give the dogs a shower tonight in the bath house here, which is totally a no-no, get kicked out of the park kind of act but we did get a few other campers so we have to live with smelly dogs for a couple more days. I'll put them in our shower Saturday while Jack is watching the game.

Here are a few pictures of the park and surrounding areas of Montgomery Bell State Park.
Notice the deer standing in the trees. They are every where here:

I really love hiking in the woods in the snow. I know I'm repeating myself here but for those of you who want to feel God's love and pure beauty of life walk in the woods when there are no leaves obstructing your view and the only sound you hear is your own breathing. Okay. In my case, panting. And gasping. But you get the idea. The beauty is so peaceful. We want to go South; that's the goal of our retirement. I would not mind though having a cabin somewhere in the mountains. Below is a pic of Tanner and me. Sydney is so cute I'm always taking her picture so Jack took one of Tanner; I just happened to be in it. HOWEVER-----this is a disclaimer before you view this picture or any picture of me in the future. I have a long sleeve shirt on, one Columbia fleece jacket, one black wool lined jacket, a pair of long johns and sweat pants on. Oh and a scarf that Jack said made me look like I was wearing a Pashmina. Therefore, it is true what they say. A picture can make you look 25 lbs. heavier; ok, ok, 50 lbs. and ok maybe it is t.v. they say that about but looking at my pictures I'm sure they meant to include pictures too. Especially when you are wearing so many excess clothes.
