Bike ride to Frankfort, visit to the puzzle queen, and dinners out with friends and family.

We rode our bikes toward Frankfort, Ohio on Friday and saw some beautiful country side and met some very interesting people.  We stopped our bike ride while I was trying to talk a nice elderly lady out of her antique glider.  She wasn't in the mood to sell and I had no way to haul it home at the present time but I did enjoy sitting on her porch talking to her for quite a while.  I will try buying it again the next time we are in town since I know where it is.  Janet stayed back at the bikes until she heard me say "hillbilly wind chime" and then she came up to see if I was getting myself in trouble.  I wasn't, the name on the chime was Hillbilly Wind Chime where it had four Stroh's beer cans hanging from string.

Friday evening we met Janet's aunt Betty and Marilyn and cousin Steve along with Marilyn's friend Jack for dinner at the Smoke House restaurant in Chillicothe.  After a great dinner we went next door to the Dock on Water St. for an after dinner libation and great conversation before going home.

On Saturday we went into see Janet's longtime friend's mother Dorothy who we always stop to see when we are in Chillicothe.  If anyone likes to put puzzles together then check out the picture of the 7,500 piece puzzle of the Manhattan skyline Dorothy is working on.  I believe the puzzle is around eight feet long and three plus feet wide.  Believe it or not Dorothy said the easy part of the puzzle is the buildings which are now done and it's time for the sky and water which are the hard parts.  After looking at the progress on the puzzle since we were here last year we went to the living room where Janet and Dorothy talked and I snoozed for a while. After our visit we stopped at Walmart for a couple of things then on to get cleaned up to go out to dinner with Jan and Wayne.

I believe I could have talked her out of the glider with a little more negotiating.  Maybe next time when I have way to get it home.

This is Dorothy Compher aka the Puzzle Queen and Jan's mother.  In addition to being good at putting puzzles together she is a good dancer.

After dinner we stopped at the Paint Patio and Grill again for some after dinner refreshments where we met up with Jan's son Troy.   Needed a little more light.

Our favorite bartender at the Paint Bar and Grill, Robin.  She's a hoot.  Our kind of people.
