Friday - The Trip back from Key West

On our way down we took the Florida turnpike since it was faster.  On the way back to Beverly Hills we went across southern Florida by way of  "Alligator Alley" so Hulio could possibly get her fill of seeing alligators in the wild.  She saw probably 50 to 100 alligators and while it did take us longer to get home it was definitely worth it.  Below are some of the pictures I took coming back.  Janet will be posting her own account of the last couple of days in the next day or so.

Getting off of Key West back to mainland Florida involves crossing 41 bridges the longest being seven miles long.  You cross several islands the most well known being Key Largo due to the song "Key Largo"  that was released in 1981 by Bertie Higgins.

This is mostly what you see for about 130 miles

The next few pictures are going across the everglades on the route known as alligator alley.

We spent about 12 hours getting back and we didn't hear a peep out of either one of the furry kids.  They are the best to travel with.
