Key West Day 3 February 22, 2012

Today we rode around the island of Key West stopping about two thirds of the way around for breakfast.  After breakfast we went down to the southwestern end of the island and checked out the sites.  We made sure we stopped at the more popular establishments that come to mind when someone mentions Key West.  We stopped at the Hogs Breath Saloon where we were on an almost live Internet feed (delayed one to two minutes) where we were seen by Janet's brother Bill and our sister in law Terry.  We then went down Duval Street and stopped at Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville for one of the signature Margarita drinks which were very good. After many other sight seeing expeditions we went back to the hotel and took a dip in the pool after we took the dogs for a walk.   At sunset we back down to Mallory Square at the south end of the island and saw the most beautiful sunset we have ever seen.  After sunset we went to Caroline's on Duval Street for dinner.  It was a very enjoyable day and I wouldn't want to change a thing.  Below are pictures from the day's travels.

Some of the bike paths can be a little tricky

This is at the Hogs Breath Saloon where you can see the camera hanging on the wall

One thing that is a little strange about Key West is the presence of roosters all over the island.  It dates back to the cuban heritage of the island.

Key West has some very beautiful and exotic looking plants and trees.

The following sunset pictures were taken over about a  15 minute period
