March 12th Last couple of days at Jacksonville

Below are some pictures we took of our new camp site we moved to Wednesday at Hanna park along with some pictures of a seafood restaurant that is not far from where we are staying.  The camp site is one of the smaller ones in the park but one of the few where we are able to get satellite tv through the canopy of live oak trees and Spanish moss. While the physical appearance of the restaurant doesn't look like much the seafood is great especially the shrimp (not sure I would have the gator again- a little chewy).  We have been there a couple of times during the day since we have heard it is so busy in the evening that you have a hard time getting near the place.

As you can see in this picture below some of the fishing boats are at the dock directly behind the restaurant.  Doesn't get any fresher than this.  However, from all of the recommendations we received about Singletons no one ever described the place as pretty. Just our kind of place.

I wonder if I will ever get my sweat shirt back??

I told Huli to go easy on the tipping since we are on a fixed income but she doesn't listen to me.

The next few pictures were taken in a back room at the restaurant where model boats are stored that were made by, I believe, the original owner, Ray Singleton.

The next couple pictures are the display cases where they show the fresh "catch of the day" at Singletons.

The last few pictures were taken at the campground beach.
