Sunday March 13th Moving day tomorrow

Sunday March 13th is our last day in Jacksonville and we had an awesome time while staying here. We got to spend a lot of time with my two sisters Carol and Lori, ate at some great restaurants, and spent the day in Daytona Beach during bike week.  Today we will clean the 5th wheel, do some routine checks on the 5th wheel and truck, run some errands, and take a bike ride.  I'll show you some pictures of the basement and some of the systems as I do some of my checks.  Since many following this have no idea what I am talking about when I say the basement of the 5th wheel it may be interesting.  We also have a new follower today who has a Dot trailer which is one of those small tear drop shaped trailers that can be pulled by a compact car.

Does anybody have the new Ipad 2 that just got released?  We use the original Ipad in the truck while traveling but primarily prefer our two lap tops while in the 5th wheel.  I will say the small size of the Ipad is nice for using in the truck.  Janet seems to also like the ipad for the games she plays or for emailing while I am driving.  I want her to drive while pulling the 5er so I can play solitaire or maybe play the market but she wants nothing to do with it.  It is really very easy to drive the truck while pulling the 5th wheel especially while going forward but she is not convinced.  I at least want her to back up the 5th wheel so she understands how impossible some of her instructions to me are.  She sometimes wants me to back from a ten foot wide road into an eight foot wide site that is at a right angle to the road.  When I get off the pavement and cut the corner into the site I faintly hear her talking to me telling me I am off course but most of the time she isn't pushing the button down on the walkie talkie so I don't hear her very well.  One of these days she is going to get the hang of the walkie talkies but it won't be from my teachings.

Monday we are moving to Blythe Island in Brunswick, Georgia which is half way between Jacksonville, Fl. and Savannah Ga.  It should only take us about an hour and a half to get there which is well under our four hour travel limit.  The RV park we are staying at has electric, water, sewer, cable tv, wifi, security gate etc. etc.  Don't have to worry about trees with the satellite dish or only getting a few air channels with the bat wing antenna since they have cable.  It's always good to have a back up plan when the super bowl or NCAA b ball tourney is on.   The only problem is there sounds like there is alot to see and do around Blythe and Jekyll Island that may interfere with watching basketball.  Several golf courses, plenty of restaurants, lots of historic places to see.  We will be there for a week so we should have enough time to do most of it.  However, now that I am thinking about it I may need to use the satellite so I can get the five or six ESPN channels we get so I can record games on the dvr to be watched after we get done running around.  Life should still be less complicated since we won't need to use the five spot for internet or amplifier for boosting signals.

Here are the 5er system pics along with some Atlantic Beach pictures and one of Huli and the dogs sitting by the camp fire.

A few pictures of our last trip to Atlantic Beach.

These dogs aren't spoiled or anything notice how they have their own chairs. Really it's more about trying to keep them somewhat clean.
