Monday March 14, 2011 Brunswick, Georgia

Before I write another sentence in this blog I'd like to post this disclaimer:   I will not be responsible for my actions if Jack Miller 1.) publishes one more picture of me that shows my balding spot, without makeup, squatting, bending, walking away from him, walking towards him,  wearing his brown sweatshirt again, or me just being me.  Dogs, trees, flowers okay...Me, not okay.  No one need see pictures of me ever again. Period. Men. They just don't get it.  Having said that I shall move on.

We're set up and settled in here at Blythe Island Regional Park in Brunswick, Georgia.  Very nice park with full hook up and pull through sites.  The neighbor dog, Johnny, came over to greet Tanner and Sydney.  A white Maltese about the same size as Sydney.  I love watching our dogs interact with other dogs.  Roxie (Carol & Lori's dog) and our two got along splendidly.  When together, which was quite a bit, they'd do the sacrificial dog sniffing routine and then pretty much ignore one another the rest of the time.  Tanner and Johnny were fine together.  No problem.  But Sydney found Johnny just a little too high strung for her taste and proceeded to bite him on the nose before Johnny even knew what hit him.  When I say she bit him I'm not talking about a huge, draw blood kind of bite.  Remember those chattering teeth toys we had as children?  The ones we 'd wind up and then watch move all over the table?  That is how Sydney bites. I'll bet she bit Johnny 5 times on his little nose before he got his wits about him and stepped back.  I'm guessin we won't see too much of Johnny around here.

This is Roxie.

After exploring the campground we decided to go for a drive.  We ended up driving over to Jekyll Island, an island purchased in 1886 by a group of wealthy families as a private retreat. By 1900, the island's club membership represented over one-sixth of the world's wealth.  Today the island houses many homes of average size with very little recreation to entertain outside visitors that we could see.  The island does boast several hotels with ocean front views however, we saw very little else to do on Jekyll Island and was happy that when Jack inquired about camping sites, the campground was full.

If I would have only packed my croquet outfit.  Jack

Jack had oysters here at Spanky's.

This is Jack   In Jacksonville we saw jaguars all over town.  Well, we are in Georgia now so you see bulldogs everywhere even in aquariums.

And last but not least - Janet (not Hulio or Huli - this is her Janet face).  She doesn't appear to be all that happy posing for the camera does she? Or maybe she's pissed because she too forgot to pack her white croquet outfit.  Referring to her first paragraph I never knew she had a bald spot so I'm going to have to go back and relook at some of her other pictures.  Jack
