March 19th Just chillin and watching basketball

Here at Blythe Island and at Kathryn Abbey Hanna park in Jacksonville through the week things tend to be a little slow but on the weekend it really picks up.  For that reason we do more during the week and just relax on the weekend.  This morning at the boat dock in the campground every boat trailer space was taken in the parking area.  They have a hoist that picks boats up off of the trailer and lowers them in the water.  There were three backed up to use this hoist while others were using the traditional ramp to put their boat in the water.  Much more activity than we saw Monday through Friday.  We rode bikes and took the dogs for a walk a few times but didn't leave the campground today.  The temperature was in the high 80's so we did break down and turn on the air.

Well it's been almost three months now that we have been on the road and we've been asked if we have any regrets.  For me I regret I didn't retire when I turned 55 three years ago.  At the pace we are going it's going to take us several years just to see the U.S. let alone some other places around the world we want to see.  Tomorrow we are going to bike around historic Brunswick and then get some things cleaned up and put away in preparation for leaving Monday and going to Savannah.  We already have reservations at the Pirates House restaurant for Saturday night March 26th to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary which is actually March 27th.  After Savannah we are headed to Charleston, South Carolina for a week.  After Charleston we have no firm plans.

Lots of activity at the boat dock this morning

After 4 pm and Huli still has her robe on.

Lots of Pelicans at the dock

This is a picture of the hoist down at the dock that is really getting a work out today
