March 17, 2011 Brunswick, Georgia

Today was laundry day as well as BBall day for Jack.  I wanted to give Jack some time with some of his March Madness games so I decided to go to the laundromat by myself.  I can honestly say that Claire almost landed in the trash container on Altama Road in Brunswick, Georgia.  What a piece of plastic bi-otch she was today.  First of all I hate, hate, hate driving the truck.  I am so short it is very difficult for me to see over the dashboard comfortably.  A family of little people could cross in front of the truck, while I am driving and I'd mow them down like the grass on a spring day. Couldn't see them.  So I take it slow.  So slow that I had nearly 15 cars backed up crossing the bridge in to town.  If having 15 cars of people cuss you out isn't bad enough Claire was in rare form today making my trip in to town a living nightmare.  I told myself (and her) that if she said "recalculating" one more time she was going out the window.  She had me so flustered and confused that it took me nearly 45 minutes to find a laundromat that was within 15 minutes of the park.  I left the campground around noon thirty and 5 loads of clothes later I returned.....at 4:45!

Just so you know, I do know how utterly crazy it sounds when I talk about "laundry day."  Like it is some big deal.  I totally get it.  While at home laundry day was any day of the week when a load or even 1/2 of load was warranted.   Doing laundry while rv'ing is a big deal. It has to become a well orchestrated event otherwise it does end up being an all day chore. You know, kind of like today.

Other than laundry didn't do a whole heck of a lot.  We are trying to decide which way to return home.  Past next week in Savannah we have no concrete plans made.  But then we haven't really had any concrete plans since we started this journey back in January.   So far so good.  Hope you enjoy Jack's pictures that follow.
