A journal written about life, retirement and our journey throughout the United States in a 5th wheel, along with our two Shih Tzus, Tanner and Syndey. Written not for notoriety but for our sons, family and friends, so they know where we are at any given time. And particularly for ourselves. Finally, we get to slow down and smell the roses and we don't want to forget any of it. You are welcome to join us as we go 'Down the Road a Piece'.

Noseeums---pesky little @#@holes with teeth.....
Forgot to mention...while some of you may be experiencing a cold, snowy winter those people who are fortunate to live in the South must contend with Noseeums. Jack's mom talked about Noseeums being such a nuisance when she and Merle wintered in Florida. Being from the North we really didn't understand the full pleasure of such little creatures. Oh, but now we do. One man here at Blythe Island described them perfectly: They are all @#@holes with teeth. Annoying little shits. They come at you from all sides and attack like one of Michael Vic's pit bulls at a dog fight. So, family and friends, while the weather has been extremely beautiful down here and you have had to put up with a crappy winter count yourself lucky that you can sail in to Spring without looking as if you stepped on a fire ant hill; like I do.
